1. Where does the name "Bobo In White Wooden Houses" come from? Answers
Bobo is short for Bobolina, which is the second name of the singer and author of most of the songs, after her greek great-grandmother. The rest of the name refers to those white wooden houses that a norwegian friend of Bobo's talked about. They became a kind of dream journey for Bobo.
This originates from the first, self titled album, where the cover lists it as BoBo In White Wooden Houses.
Unfortunately the answer is no. Several video clips have been created and were on the playlist of MTV Europe and VIVA, but they have not been released for sale. The same goes for several live performances which were aired on television. A video with music from a live performance of SAAL DREI feat. Bobo is available in the Open Video Archive. Check out the videography for details.
Alaska started as early as 1998, had been announced on the website of >Motor Music and has been introduced at several concerts in that year. Since then the name has popped up in several sources, some of them claiming that their first album has already been recorded and produced. Still, there is no official announcement or release. When this band becomes a reality, it's likely that the line-up will not be the same as in 1998. Be careful if you find releases by Alaska - there's a british hardrock band of the same name with several international releases. There had been an official fanclub for Bobo In White Wooden Houses, but it's no longer operational. (11-Dec-2004) A new fanclub is in preparation.
Finding Bobo's albums outside of Germany is truly a challenge. An option would be to check out one of the german internet CD stores which ship worldwide, although shipping and handling can be prohibitive. Here are a few:
